What were you doing before this course?
My background is opthalmic medical sales, but the last role I had was working as a Sales Exec for a website. This encouraged me to pursue my interest in graphic design. I am also a mum.

What motivated you to do this course now?
I have always been fascinated by the brilliance behind building brands, logos, identities and great visual communication in general. I spent ten years living overseas, plus starting a family. I returned to Sydney earlier this year and realised it was time to figure out what I wanted to do when I grew up. Shillington ticked all the boxes.

Have you had any prior graphic design experience?
Absolutely none! Plus, I had never touced a Mac before. I have learnt so much in such a short period of time. For me, the software packages were quite daunting, but I'm really chuffed with what I've learned so far and there is still so much more to come. 

What do you like about this course?
The lecturers are, and I quote one of them, "Amazing!". They have a fabulous sense of humour and have the class in hysterics every day. This really helps lighten the mood when everyone is heads down, bums up at their computers!
